In any event, I tried uninstalling Pulse from Software Manager and that worked fine, but now I just can't get any sound at all.Īnyway, I decided to try the new Nvidia 520 driver at the same time and now my sound is not working at all. I installed it from the command line, as per instructions from a helpful contributor because I wanted a Pulse Audio install that allowed for a 2% increase in volume and not the standard 5% increase. IIRC, I installed it twice because it simply would not show up on the taskbar when I booted into Mint 21. Thus I had two Pulse Audio icons on my taskbar. I decided to install the newly offered 520 Recommended Nvidia graphics driver from Mint 21 Drivers and my sorrows began, ha, ha! When I rebooted, as per instructions, everything was much smaller on my desktop, such as my icons and my Conky.Īt the same time I tried to uninstall an "extra" Pulse Audio driver that I somehow managed to install twice about a month ago.
